Gwithian Class 2026/27 wishes you a very warm welcome.
We are an amazing bunch of Year 4 children, who love to learn and we would love to share with you what we have been up to!

In the Autumn Term, we will be exploring Cornwall's rich mining heritage and discovering how mining has shaped our local area, landscape and communities. Through our project, we will investigate the lives of miners and learn about the lasting legacy Cornwall's mining industry has left behind. Our project question is: Is mining a thing of the past?

During the Spring Term, we will be investigating the powerful natural processes that can change our planet. We will explore different types of natural disasters, including earthquakes and volcanoes, and discover how they affect people and places around the world. Our project question is: Would it be Scilly to choose Sicily?

Our Summer Term project will take us back to the ancient world as we explore the fascinating civilisations of the Romans and Ancient Greeks. We will discover what life was like in these societies and investigate the incredible influence they have had on the world we live in today. Our project question is: Ancient Greeks or Romans: whose legacy is more significant?
