Mr Rob Hamshar
Headteacher
HiÂ
I'm Mr (Rob ... don't tell the children this) Hamshar.
I am so proud to be the headteacher of St Hilary School, it is my dream job and one I relish every single day.
I have been at St Hilary since 2011 when I joined as Deputy Head and Year 6 teacher. This came after a good few years teaching in South West London (in the very near vicinity of Selhurst Park ... home of the mighty Crystal Palace!)
In school, I am driven by providing an education that inspires, igniting interests and providing every child, no matter of their starting point, the chance to shine and find their passion!Â
Outside of school, I love spending time with my amazing family (I am proud to say that my two boys came through St Hilary), watching sport, walking my gorgeous dog Margot, reading and trying to keep fit!
I always look forward to meeting any new families or interested parties and catching up for a chat with those of you in the school community who already know me.

Mr Ashley Larter
Deputy Headteacher / Year 6 Teacher / DSL
Hi,
I’m Mr Larter and I am the very proud Deputy Head and Year 6 teacher of St Hilary School. Some children may recognise me as the BFT (Big Friendly Teacher). I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead and I lead maths.
I’ve been at St Hilary since 2010 and started here as a Newly Qualified Teacher. It has certainly been a journey – a very exciting one! I am absolutely passionate about children having the right to be truly themselves and that they have plenty of opportunities to shine. I love reading – especially aloud using lots of character voices!
Outside of school, I enjoy eating out with friends and family, going for country walks and watching athletics and F1 – although I am useless with anything car related.
