What a busy week!!
We have had a very busy week this week.
We finally managed a welly walk on Wednesday and I must thank all the parents who came along to help with the walk. We went up to St Hilary Church then cut through a very muddy couple of fields before coming out by the campsite beside Friendship Wood. We then walked along the road back to school. I must say the children were very well behaved as we walked and were a credit to you!
For the past few weeks we have been practising our song for the Harvest Festival. I think that the children were star struck when it was their turn to sing. We had run through the song in the morning and I reminded them that they needed to sing with loud voices, but this piece of advice seems to have left them!! However, they all tried their best and it was great to see that they all had their scarecrow hats on. To be fair, being 4 years old and standing up to face a large audience must be rather intimidating, so I congratulate them all for their courage.
You should be very proud of them. I suspect that they all slept very well Friday night!!
This coming week is parent consultation week. I am looking forward to meeting you all and I don't think I need to remind you that the following week is half term. The children have come through their first half term remarkably well albeit a little tired. They have all settled into school life well and all seem to enjoy coming into school every day.
Here is a message for the children.... Enjoy half term and have a great week having play dates, going to the beach if the weather is good and generally enjoying yourself!!
