Ofsted- November 2017

30th November 2017

I am delighted to attach the ‘hot of the press’ report for our recent Ofsted inspection. The report is in a slightly different format to previous inspections, or some that you may read from other schools, as it was a ‘Section 8 Short Inspection’. An external view of our data, website and other information available to the inspectors dictates which sort of inspection will take place, and a section 8 will happen where schools are assumed to be still at least ‘good’.

I won’t go into too much detail regarding the content of the report as you will be able to read it for yourselves. However, we are extremely pleased with both the report and verbal feedback that we were given, which recognises the hard work that goes into making our school the ‘best it can be’.

The report mentions ‘exemplary behaviour’ from the children and how they ‘threw themselves wholeheartedly into the stimulating and challenging work’. Whilst this is based on a one day snapshot, I can honestly say that this is something that I have the pleasure of witnessing on a day to day basis. The children should feel very proud of themselves and we fully recognise that the amount of support that we get from parents and families is a huge contributor to this.

I would like to take this opportunity to extend a really big thank you to our parents and families who supported us through the inspection- messages of ‘good luck’ and encouragement went a long way!

If any parents or members of the community have any queries or comments regarding the report, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
