Cross Country
Over the past two days the St Hilary Sports Crew held the first Intra-Sport Cross-country Competition at St Hilary.
First up were the Juniors, totalling a whopping 67 children.  As all the children made their way to the start line, in came the rain and heavy wind.  Not one child looked back, with their adrenaline pumping they were revved up and ready to go! Every child kept their 'Self Belief' motto in their minds as they ran, trying their very best and crossing the finish line completely drenched and muddy but with huge smiles on their faces and a real sense of pride for their achievement.
Next up were the Infants (Year Reception and Year 1), again the weather wasn't kind but that didn't dampen their spirits.  The smiles on their faces said it all, even when slipping over and bouncing up again to carry on and to get to the finish line.
It was an extremely successful event, the children and staff were all buzzing before, during and after! Well done and thankyou to Miss Meacham and the Sports Crew.  We are looking forward to the next competition this term, which will be Football - everyone welcome!
